There are two main reactions to the birth of Jesus In Matthew 2. On one hand, the wise men followed the star, tracked down Jesus, fell down to worship Him, and showered Him with gifts. They went home a different way and their lives were spared. On the other hand, Herod saw the star, sent others to find Jesus, sought to kill Him, and eventually died.
