Bricks without straw, work without worship. That's what life in Egypt is for the Israelites after Moses confronts Pharaoh. In Exodus 5, we see just how different Pharaoh is from God - and Israel learns what life is like completely under Pharaoh's rule: burdensome and backbreaking work. You can never earn what other gods require from you, and worship of things other than God will leave you empty because God designed us to worship HIM, not anything else. This week, we see that there is no god like the Lord, God of Israel.
